京都を代表する人気の観光地、金閣寺。見た目が派手でインパクトのあることから多くの方に知られています。今回は金閣寺を英語で案内する時に役立つ英語を紹介します。
金閣寺へはどうやっていくの？外国人の方を案内してあげよう！
There is no station nearby Kinrakuji, but the nearest would be JR Enmachi station.
（近くに駅があまりないですが、一番近い駅はJR円町駅です。）
I recommend you to take the bus from Kyoto station to Kinkakuji-do station. It takes around 30 minutes.
（京都駅からバスで金閣寺道という駅まで行くことをお勧めします。３０分ほどかかります。）
Usually, it takes around 45 minutes from Kyoto station to Kinkakuji.
（だいたい京都から金閣寺まで45分ほどかかります。）
But if you take the bus, there is a risk that there is a traffic jam between the road to Kinkakuji.
（バスに乗ると、渋滞に捕まる可能性もあるのでご注意くださいね。）

金閣寺の見どころの説明を英語でしてみよう！
Kinkakiuji is registered as World Heritage since 1994.
（金閣寺は1994年に世界遺産に登録されました。）
Its original name is called " Rokuon-ji". This was rebuilt two times in 1694 and 1950.
（本来の名前は鹿苑寺です。そして、1694年と1950年に二度再建されています。）
First time, this was burnt down by a war called "Onin war". Second time, this was burnt down by arson. The temple you see is the one rebuilt after the arson.
（一度目は応仁の乱にて、焼け落ちました。２回目は放火により焼け落ちました。今ご覧になられているのは２回目に再建された時のものです。）
Kinkaku-ji is made from 3 floors. The second and third floor is covered with gold which is why this temple is called "Kinkaku-ji".
（金閣寺は３回建です。二階と三階が金箔で包まれているため「金閣寺」と呼ばれ始めました。）
Each floor has a name and was constructed differently using different traditional structure.
（それぞれの階は違う日本の伝統的な構造をしています。）
The first floor is called "Hosui-in" with Shinden-dukuri structure. The second floor is called "Cho-on-do" with Buke-dukuri structure. The third floor is called "Kukkyoucho" with Zenshu-butuden-dukuri structure.
（一階部分は法水院と呼ばれていて、寝殿造の構造をしています。二階部分は潮音洞と呼ばれていて、武家造りの構造をしています。三階部分は究竟頂と呼ばれていて、禅宗仏殿造りの構造をしています。）

In spring, the cherry blossoms blooms around the Kinkaku-ji.
